Warangal: The forest department has confirmed the presence of a tiger in the Bandala Forest region of Tadvai mandal 25 kilometers from Medaram temple in Mulugu district, after spotting its footprints at multiple locations. The tiger was previously observed roaming in the Pambarpuram and Narsapuram forest areas, with officials tracking its movements.

Recent signs suggest the tiger is actively hunting small animals for food. Its presence has raised concerns among local residents and wildlife authorities due to potential threats to livestock and human safety.

Forest range officer Sattaiah advised locals to avoid entering forests near Bandala, noting that the tiger is searching for suitable shelter and moving unpredictably between regions. He emphasised the need for vigilance as the animal's movements pose risks to the community.

To address the situation, forest officials have formed patrol teams to monitor the tiger, ensure public safety, and protect the animal. Authorities are taking precautions to prevent conflicts between the tiger and nearby villages while continuing to assess the situation.
