Two Aramgarh Eateries Found Without Food Safety Measures
Hyderabad:Inspections of two Aramgarh eateries, Golden Pears and Dar Al Mandi, revealed significant food safety violations. The former was found operating with only a registration certificate and it did not possess the mandated state licence.
The team also came across several critical issues: pest control records and medical fitness certificates for food handlers were missing; windows that were open saw houseflies coming into the kitchen; raw mutton was found in an unhygienic state inside the refrigerator; there were many expired milk packets and unlabelled ghee.
They were all discarded as were non-veg starters that reportedly had synthetic food colours. Food handlers were without haircaps and aprons.
Dar Al Mandi also had similar violations. The FBO could not produce the FSSAI licence copy. They were operating with an inactive license through the Swiggy app. The kitchen was noted for its poor hygiene, with patchy flooring, stagnant drain water, and open access to the outside environment. Food handlers lacked proper attire and synthetic food colours in non-veg dishes were discarded. Additionally, there were no dustbins on-site, with the waste being collected in carry bags.
