Two Bikers Fall From Kothaguda Flyover, Die
Hyderabad: Two youngsters on a bike were killed when they fell down from the Kothaguda flyover early on Sunday. Police said the bike hit the flyover’s parapet and the riders were flung into the air under the impact and landed on the road beneath.
The victims, 27-year-old K. Rohith, who was riding the bike, and 26-year-old Bala Prasanna. were natives of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and were living in Miyapur here. They were heading from Masjid Banda to Hafeezpet early Sunday morning.
Locals and Gachibowli police rushed them to hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.
Gachibowli police said that the youngsters could be over-speeding at the time of the incident. They registered a case and handed over the bodies to the family members of the victims after post-mortem.
Magistrate orders closure of hotel where techie was gang-raped
Following the recent gang-rape of a software engineer in Vanasthalipuram on its premises, the Srirastu bar restaurant and hotel has been ordered to be closed by the sub-divisional magistrate of Kandukur, Rangareddy district.
The court issued orders to close the place for indiscriminately allowing customers to consume liquor and stay in the rooms day and night, for encouraging illegal activities.
Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu also issued a warning that people who cause inconvenience to the general public by indulging in unlawful activities will be strictly dealt with.
