Two followers of BRS MLA held for abetment of suicide of a person, kin

HYDERABAD: Police arrested two staunch followers of BRS legislator Maganti Gopinath, while the third accused has been absconding, for abetting the suicide of several members of a family over a property issue.
The accused were harassing Ram Singh and his family members after they forcibly registered the property of the family in the name of one of the accused on the pretext of settling their property dispute, said S. Veera Shekar, SHO Borabanda police station.
The accused have been identified as Chindulolla Prashanth Kumar (41), D. Devara Raja alias Nazar (53) and Sanadana Sai Charan (30), who is absconding.
Sudhakar managed to get a GPA executed and later a sale deed by convincing the victim to that they would resolve his disputes, handover possession of the property and clear the records from the revenue department.
Cases for abetting suicide in crime number 968 of 2024 under section 316(2), 108, read with 3(5) BNS have been registered against them. The arrested were produced before the court and sent to judicial remand.
