Hyderabad: The Government Railway Police (GRP) here on Wednesday arrested two persons on charges of committing thefts on trains

Gold ornaments weighing 74.12 grams, nine mobile phones, and an Apple Tab, all worth over Rs, 6 lakh were recovered from the possession of the arrested persons identified as Azad Khan, 30, an employee of a bar-cum-restaurant and resident of Borabanda, and Pathan Waseem Khan, 30, a hotel businessman and a resident of Saroornagar.

Azad Khan was the native of Gurgaon in Haryana, while Waseem Khan was from Nagpur in Maharashtra. The duo was involved in cases that took place under the limits of Kacheguda railway police station.

After migrating to Hyderabad, Azad Khan, who was mentally disturbed due to family disputes, was working in a bar as a waiter while Waseem Khan started running a hotel. After suffering loss in business, Waseem Khan commenced facing financial problems.

As they became addicted to bad vices, Azad Khan and Waseem Khan started committing offences on trains. Following a tip off, the police arrested them and recovered the stolen property.
