Union Minister for Quality Education
Hyderabad: Union minister of state for education Dr Sukanta Majumdar who visited the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Wednesday, emphasised that "quality education and innovation are the pillars on which the future of our nation rests." He interacted with the academic community accompanied by vice-chancellor Prof. B.J. Rao, registrar Dr Devesh Nigam, and other senior academics.
During the visit, Prof. Ghanashyam Krishna, director of the Institution of Eminence (IoE), presented a comprehensive overview of UoH’s progress under the IoE scheme, highlighting advancements in academic rigor and global engagement.
Dr Majumdar also toured the ASPIRE BioNest incubation facility, a specialised centre dedicated to supporting life sciences startups. He interacted with emerging entrepreneurs and researchers, gaining insight into their pioneering work in biotechnology and healthcare.
Extending his commitment beyond academics, the Minister planted a sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, an initiative aimed at fostering environmental consciousness while honouring the bond with mothers.
