US Consul General in Hyderabad holds talks on LGBTQIA+ employment opportunities

Hyderabad: Jennifer Larson, United States Consul General in Hyderabad has held talks with leaders from Synopsis on Monday and discussed employment opportunities for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sharing the pictures from the meeting, the consul General put out a post on 'X' and wrote, "Talking with leaders from @Synopsis this #PrideMonth we remember that respecting the full humanity of LGBTQIA+ communities requires that we uphold rights, protect from harm, and support work and #pride through meaningful employment opportunities. #USIndiaFWDforPride"
The meeting was a part of the 'US India forward for Pride campaign' launched on the occasion of "Pride month".The Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti had launched the #USIndiaFWDforPride campaign on June 1, marking the beginning of the pride month.
The LGBTQ Pride month is celebrated in June every year to honor the 1969 Stonewall uprising (Liberation movement) in Manhattan.
