Video of Woman Sleeping on Vikarabad Railway Track Viral

Hyderabad: A video of a woman sleeping on the railway tracks when a goods train was moving at Nawandgi railway station near Vikarabad bordering Telangana and Karnataka went viral on various social media platforms on Monday.
However, the Government Railway Police (GRP) are clueless about the incident saying that no one is aware of such an incident near Nawandgi station. Vikarabad Railway Inspector K Shankaraiah said no was sharing information about the video probably due to fear that moving near the tracks was nothing but an offence related to trespass.
“We enquired with the station master along with the gangmen. But they were clueless about the incident,” he said, adding that efforts were on to find out the source of the video to trace the woman.
According to him, three women came to the railway station where a good train was halted. Two women first crossed the tracks to reach the other side of the station and when another woman started crossing the tracks the train suddenly started moving prompting her to sleep on the tracks.
After the train departed, the woman crossed the tracks. Luckily, she did not suffer injuries when the train was departing the station. Her two friends heaved a sigh of relief after she crossed the tracks safely.
