Hyderabad: BRS MLC K. Kavitha on Thursday said the BJP government at the Centre was practicing ‘selective justice’ by arresting its political opponents but had turned a blind eye to grave allegations of corruption against industrialist Gautam Adani.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kavitha, who had kept away from the public eye since her release from Tihar Jail in the Delhi liquor scam case, alleged: “They propagate Akhand Bharat but deliver selective justice. Political opponents are arrested without evidence and put on trial for months, while Mr. Gautam Adani walks free despite repeated and grave allegations. What’s stopping the Union government from acting?”

Reacting to the charges against Adani in the US, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and asked whether the “Rs 100 crore ‘gifted’ by Adani to Revanth Reddy” was not a bribe. A man who is charged with crimes in the US is being given permissions for investments in Telangana, Rama Rao said. He also asked if Adani was getting a share in the Musi project.
