Will take complaints to Waqf Bill JPC: MP DK Aruna assures farmers

Hyderabad: BJP Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Aruna met farmers from Kohir who complained to her that their land had been taken over in the name of being Waqf property. She assured the victims that their complaint would be taken to the joint parliamentary committee (JPC) which is considering a new legislation on Waqf properties.
Aruna, who is on the Wakf Bill JPC, has been receiving complaints after the introduction of amendments to the Waqf Act. Farmers complained that the land was taken over a few years and asked her to raise the issue in the JPC.
