With Added Facilities, Laknavaram Turns a Sure Visit Spot for Tourists

 Warangal: The addition of facilities and cottages on a third island at the Laknavaram lake is offering an additional destination for tourists and nature lovers.

The lake, sandwiched between lush green hills, and featuring a hanging cable bridge, is located 75 km from Warangal, near Bussapur of Govindaraopet mandal in Mulugu district.

Recently, a local enterprise, developed a resort on the third island named ‘The Cove’, with 22 rooms fitted with advanced facilities provided on lease basis by the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation.

While four cottages were built for families another are for personal usage with a children’s pool. The company has deployed 40 staff at the ‘The Cove’.

The rooms have attached swimming pools, a common pool, zip line, adventure games and water sports.

The first island has four air-conditioned and four non A/C rooms with two beds each while the second island has eight cottages with four A/C and three non A/C rooms apart from dormitory rooms with six beds. It has four A/C and three non A/C rooms with two beds each.

The lake has passenger boats that can carry 50 people, two four-seater speed boats, four pontoon boats that can seat 24 each.
