Woman Dies in ORR Car Collision Near Keesara

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman, Roshini, lost her life when the car in which she was travelling collided with another vehicle on the Outer Ring Road near Keesara on Thursday. Her husband Suman, 32, who was at the wheel, and their two-year-old daughter survived.

Though the airbags of the car deployed, Roshini, who was not wearing the seat belt, suffered fatal injuries and was declared brought dead at a private hospital, police said.

The family was returning home to Uppal from Vemulawada when the accident occurred. The ORR ambulance and task force moved the family to the hospital in Ghatkesar.

According to Sector sub-inspector Venkatesh, the accident took place at the Milestone No. 75 on the ORR. Though the accident occurred at 9:30 am, police received information from the hospital at 10.40 am.

Police said that Suman, marketing agent with a private bank in Gachibowli, was in shock and unable to recall any details. He could only say that he was driving in the fourth lane from the left when a vehicle swerved into his path which resulted in the collision.

Police began an investigation by scanning CCTV footage to identify vehicles which bore damage at the rear end. Keesara police registered a case of culpable homicide.
