Tirupati: A Jana Sena team led by its Tirupati in-charge Kiran Rayal submitted a representation to the state Vigilance office here on Tuesday, seeking an investigation into alleged acts of corruption and irregularities at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

The party sought a probe into the alleged misappropriation of TTD’s SRIVANI trust funds, questioned the propriety of diversion of devotees' donations and the allocation of funds to various organisations or for temple constructions. Rayal said devotees harboured suspicions of irregularities and an immediate investigation must help establish this.

Speaking to the media, Kiran Rayal stated, "Both chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan previously raised concerns about irregularities in the SRIVANI trust funds. Over the past five years, large-scale malpractices occurred in Tirumala, particularly concerning the SRIVANI trust and darshan tickets."

The Jana Sena leader also called for a probe into the distribution of Arjitha seva tickets and VIP break darshan tickets given to ministers and MLAs in recent years. He alleged that thousands of tickets were misused for commercial purposes between June 2019 and May 2024.

The representation sought a probe into the special protocol darshan arrangements made for former ministers. "We need to protect the integrity of the TTD," Kiran Rayal claimed and pleaded that the findings of the investigation be made public.
