Users looking to buy an iPad always go for the iPad Air, considering the budget as well as the features but one thing that was letting the device down was its refresh rate, which comes with 60Hz display refresh rate.
Now, Apple is set to say goodbye to 60Hz displays as the tech giant is reportedly working on 90Hz displays for the iPad Air as well as the 24-inch iMac and Studio display.
According to a report by 9To5Mac, 90Hz display will first appear on the M3 iPad Air and later it will make it to 24-inch iMac and Studio Display. Currently, the displays of iPad Air, 24-inch iMac and Studio Display feature 60Hz refresh rates.
This upgrade will lead to smoother scrolling, video editing and better gaming on the upcoming iPad Air and 24-inch iMac.
Earlier, there were rumours that the entire iPhone 17 lineup will feature ProMotion displays with support for 120Hz refresh rates but this is the first time that Apple is developing 90Hz displays for its products.
According to Bloomberg, the next generation of iPad Air is expected to be launched in early 2025 but the upgraded 24-inch iMac will be launched late 2025.
