Apple Rolls Out Clean Up Feature in iOS 18.1 Beta 3
Apple rolled out the “Clean Up” feature in iOS 18.1 beta 3 for developers on Thursday.
The new feature will allow users to remove objects that they feel unwanted from pictures using AI. “Clean Up” feature is part of Apple Intelligence.
This feature will be available in the Photos app and when you edit the photos, you will find an eraser-style icon in the bottom.
The feature will detect the distractions in the background of the image and it will automatically remove it. Users can use their fingers to manually remove any unwanted objects.
Not just the photos clicked on iPhone, this feature will work on any photos in your image library. The Clean Up feature was announced in Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024.
Google has its own cleanup tool called Magic Editor. They also have “Magic Eraser,” which was launched two years back in Pixel phones. Now the feature has been expanded to many Android phones.
