Apple has unveiled the iPhone's major update iOS 18 at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The iOS 18 features will be coming to various iPhones this year and it will bring many features to its users, but few features will be specifically for Indian users.
A notable feature is the support for numerals in 12 Indian languages. With iOS 18, users can personalise their contact posters and lock screens with numerals from languages including Arabic, Arabic Indic, Bangla, Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Malayalam, Meitei, Odia, Ol Chiki and Telugu.

Additionally, with iOS 18, iPhones will be transcribing voicemails in real time in Indian English and also there will be live support for caller ID.
Apple had introduced dual sim cards from iPhone 11, a physical sim and one eSIM. With the iOS 18, Apple will be introducing a dedicated sim switch button within the redesigned control center which will enable users to switch between two phone numbers.
Siri is receiving an upgrade. With iOS 18, Siri will have improved understanding of Indian English mixed with local languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

It doesn't end here. The new translate app will now support Hindi and can perform system-wide translation, including in the Safari web browser and Notes app.
The iOS 18 will include support for alphabet layouts for 11 Indian languages including Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
