Social media platform, Bluesky, considered as rival of Elon Musk’s X, have seen an influx of new users since the US presidential election results.
More than 1 million new users have joined the Bluesky following Donald Trump’s presidential victory.
According to reports, one of the reason behind many users joining the Bluesky is because of Elon Musk’s involvement in US elections. Musk officially endorsed Donald Trump for the elections and is closely tied to US president-elect Trump’s election campaign.
The Other reason for the influx is X’s announcement of allowing users to view posts from people who had blocked them, which helped Bluesky pick 1.2 million new users. The company reported picking up 3 million new users in the week after X was suspended in Brazil in September, reported Guardian.
The company said that the influx of new users has helped them to reach more than 15 million users worldwide, increase from 9 million in September. The recent influx were largely from North America and United Kingdom.
