Kollam: A software firm in technopark? here in Kundara has introduced a tracking app ‘kanmashi’ employing the global positioning system (GPS) to ensure the safety of women.

Nithin Sha, managing director of Dime Technologies. “Such tracking devices can help prevent crimes against women and children, especially in the current times when crimes against them are at a high.”

The application can be downloaded in mobile phones working on android and apple platforms also. Parents get instant SMS notifications through integrated automatic SMSs on their mobile phones when their children enter or exit the school. The students are given RFID-based identity cards making it possible to send real-time messages. Another product is a vehicle tracking system specialised for school bus tracking to aid parents and the school management based on GPS systems.
