PlayStation's new headset with virtual surround, 3D audio to launch on Jan 12
PlayStation has a new Bluetooth wireless headset in the offing priced at $159.99.
Sony recently announced the launch of a new gaming headset for gamers called the Platinum Wireless headset. The company stated that the headset will launch on January 12 for $159.99 (approximately Rs 11,000).
Few of the primary features of the headset is its enhanced wireless technology and its positional 7.1 virtual surround sound powered by PlayStation 3D audio technology.
With the Platinum Wireless headset, Sony is bringing 3D audio support beyond the real PSVR with support coming to standard PS4 games, beginning with Uncharted 3: A Thief’s End, MLB The Show 17 and more. Moreover, Naughty Dog will be the first game developer to incorporate 3D audio into a game.
The headset is said to be built with higher quality materials than Sony’s Gold headset. Apart from that the headset features 50mm drivers and can be charged via a micro USB cable.
