Dell launches a 24-inch gaming monitor

Dell has unveiled a new 24-inch monitor designed especially for gamers. The new monitor comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 1000:1 contrast ratio, a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4. For connectivity, the 24-inch model sports 4 x USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 24-inch gaming monitor holds S2417DG as its model name. Last year, Dell launched its first gaming monitor that sports 27-inch display, and had similar feature which can be seen in the latest 24-inch version. However, this monitor differs by a refresh rate of 165Hz, which can be used for 3D applications.

The Dell S2417DG supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync, which will eliminate ‘screen tearing’ and the need for software deterrents such as Vsync. The monitor also offers visual presets for RPG, FPS and RTS modes for a better gaming experience.
