Instagram to drop Photo Maps

Instagram is going to discontinue its Photo Map' feature, which allowed people to see their photos on a map.

Update: 2016-09-07 07:34 GMT
Instagram was made available for Windows 10 Mobile in April alongside Facebook and Messenger.

Instagram is back with its update, but this time it’s going take down an already existing feature instead of adding one. Instagram confirmed that it is removing the Photo Map feature, which lets you see where a person’s snapshots come from.

The change was confirmed to Mashable via email. "Photo Map was not widely used, so we've decided to remove the feature and focus on other priorities.”

This feature was disabled for users last week. Apart from that, Instagram also added a new exposure tool that is available when uploading stories. This tool allows users to correct scenes with low-light. This particular update is only available for iPhone users, for the time being.
