Sources say Dell is also considering a sale or initial public offering (IPO) of its one of its fast-growing divisions, Pivotal Software.

Dell is recalling its Hybrid Power Adapters sold with power banks which pose a shock risk.

The company has issued a recall for versions of the combo manufactured between January 2017 and March 2017 after it was discovered that the hybrid power adapter casing can break and detach, exposing the internal metal components, posing an electric shock hazard.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission notes that about 8,900 units were sold with about 475 in Canada.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled hybrid power adapters and contact Dell for instructions on receiving a free replacement adapter.
