Battlefield V gets an update
EA recently released a trailer teasing the second chapter of Tides of War; Lightning Strikes.
Battlefield V ongoing content plan revolves around their newly introduced Tides of War system that gives objectives for various game modes each week to unlock unique in game items such as guns, cosmetics and more.
Tides of War, Chapter 1 Overture recently ended after four weeks of some pretty unique unlocks behind some challenging objectives, the hardest of which of course was to win a grand operation which took on average about 40 minutes of gameplay to stand a chance of winning. EA recently released a trailer teasing the second chapter of Tides of War; Lightning Strikes.
It will introduce some brand new co-op operations called Combined arms giving you a chance to kick back and enjoy some relatively stress free Battlefield V action with friends. The new Tides of War will run from January till march and will bring with it new guns, new vehicles, what seems like a brutal beat down melee kill and a return of one of the hectic modes in Battlefield history, Rush. Yes you heard that right, Rush is coming back; while I’m not a big fan of rush personally it will be interesting to see how the LMG run and gun from BFV will translate into Rush because too many LMG’s plus medics will make for a massive stalemate.
The trailer ended with the Battlefield V Battleroyale; Firestorm teaser showing a squad driving off in a tractor. While that doesn’t really show us the actual game, EA once again showed that it is still expected to land in March when the second chapter of Tides of War is scheduled to end; so their content plan does seem to be on track.
As a PC player, I don’t really mind the wait as I’m thoroughly enjoying the Battlefield V experience and the constant content additions but the one I’m looking forward to is the DLSS update that will soon enable a performance jump for NVIDIA RTX GPU’s for both RTX on and Off modes.
