The iFixit teardown found a 128GB storage chip, manufactured by Toshiba, on iPhone 7 Plus.
Every year, Apple launches a brand new set of iOS-based products. While other tech giants brag about their newest devices RAM, battery, and more, Apple never really reveals what’s under the hood.
iFixit, a well-known repair and teardown website, on September 16 published its teardown of the iPhone 7 variants on its website.
Among many changes, one of the biggest change that the website highlighted was a 2900mAh battery found on the iPhone 7 Plus model. The battery is rated at 3.82V for a total of 11.1Wh, a slight upgrade over the 10.45Wh 10.45 Wh (3.8 V, 2750 mAh) of the 6s Plus, and on par with the 11.1 Wh, 2915 mAh cell found in the 6 Plus.
The iPhone 7 teardown revealed that the smartphone sport a 1960mAH battery, with a notable increase than the 1715mAh battery found in iPhone 6s, and 1810mAh battery found on the iPhone 6.
The teardowns conducted by iFixit revealed that iPhone 7 sports a 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, while the iPhone 7 Plus sports a 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, both manufactured by Samsung.
In addition, the iFixit teardown also found a 128GB storage chip, manufactured by Toshiba, on iPhone 7 Plus.
