Users can now schedule Live Videos on Facebook
Facebook is working on introducing a new feature to platform that will allow users to schedule Live Videos before they broadcast.
Social media giant Facebook is reportedly working on introducing a new feature to its platform that will allow Verified Pages to schedule Live Videos before the actual broadcast. This will allow publishers to create a 'buzz' ahead of the broadcast.
While the newest feature will initially only be available to Verified Pages, the company plans on rolling out the feature to all pages on Facebook in the coming weeks.
‘Scheduling a live video makes it easier to build anticipation and buzz with your audience before your broadcast begins, so you can start strong with an audience already assembled,’ Facebook posted on its official blog site.
When one schedules a live video, an announcement post will automatically be published to the page’s News Feed. This will inform the followers about the upcoming broadcast.
‘People who see the post can opt in to receive a one-time reminder notification that will alert them shortly before your broadcast begins,’ the blog post continued.
One can simply visit Facebook’s Publishing Tools section to get started with schedule a live video. Verified Pages can schedule a live broadcast up to one week in advance and people can join the page’s lobby three minutes before the broadcast begins.
