Latest leaks have revealed Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has invented a bendable, touch sensitive display that could be a feature for a future device. As of now, Samsung and LG have been the only organisations that have been competitively driving research into foldable or bendable display technology. Now it seems Xiaomi has created its own version of what appears to be a flexible smartphone display.

While Samsung, as a part of its Project Valley initiative has been working and getting ready two flexible or foldable devices, and so has LG — created a rollable OLED panel. But interestingly, Xiaomi’s display appears to be one of the first tangible screens that could be a part of a flexible chassis of a smartphone.

A leaked one-minute video, posted online, shows a bent screen that has Xiaomi’s latest Android update MIU8. While the device isn’t folded or rolled, it features an interesting future for everyday usage.
