Envision a day when you don't need to have cash or card on you to pay for shopping. Amazon is reportedly planning on building terminals where customers could simply scan their hands at checkout terminals.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the terminals, placed in physical stores, would allow shoppers to link their card information to the scans of their hands, allowing for faster checkouts.
Amazon plans to pitch these terminals to coffee shops, fast-food restaurants and other merchants that are into repeat businesses with their clients. People familiar with the development said that Amazon is working with Visa and Mastercard for the terminals that are in the early stages.
