iPhone 7 is the best selling phone in Taiwan, thanks to exploding Note 7s
Exploding Galaxy Note 7 makes iPhone 7 the best selling phone in Taiwan.
According to a recent report, the recently launched iPhone 7 has become the best selling smartphone in Taiwan.
Taipei Times explains how the buyers were interested in iPhone 7 not necessarily due to its upgrades but because of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
‘The new iPhone attracted consumers not only because of its novelty, but also because many consumers in the market for a high-end mobile phone turned away from Samsung Electronics Co’s Galaxy Note 7, which the company eventually stopped selling following a series of battery explosions and fires,’ Taipei Times reported.
According to the same report, the 128GB iPhone 7 topped the purchase sales last month with the iPhone 7 Plus being the runner-up. While Samsung’s Galaxy J7 ranked third followed by the ZenFone 3 and the 32GB variant of iPhone 7.
The sales mentioned in the report suggested that Apple is currently dominating with up to 29 per cent share in the Taiwan market ahead of Samsung, Asustek, HTC and Sony.
