Microsoft launches iPhone app to identify flowers

The app created by Microsoft Garage has been named as Flower Recognition.

The name has been derived from a genus name, Fuchsia which stands for a strong, vivid purplish red based on the flowers primarily cultivated in North America.

Microsoft has developed a unique app for iPhone users which will help them identify flowers.

The app created by Microsoft Garage has been named as Flower Recognition. In order to know the name of a flower using the app, the iPhone user either needs to click a picture of a flower or can provide one from the phone’s camera roll.

Though, Flower Recognition has been rolled out to iOS 8.2 and above operating systems, which is available to almost all iPhone users across the globe, the app is currently available only in China.

The app will also be made available on the Android platforms in the upcoming days.
