YouTube app no longer available on Windows devices
There are many other important apps missing from Windows apart from YouTube.
As per recent reports, Microsoft has been evaluating whether or not the existing apps are good enough to be listed on the Windows Store. Additionally, the company has also been sending out emails to numerous developers, informing them that their apps have been unpublished from the Store due to poor quality. It appears like YouTube is among those.
As a part of Microsoft’s cleaning process, YouTube has been eliminated from the Windows Store. What's more? To compensate the lack of important apps including YouTube, Microsoft itself is offering similar services on Windows devices. And if that isn’t enough, third-party clients too, are making provision of related apps for users. Take for example, myTube!, which is currently among the most used apps on Windows phone in place of YouTube.
If the cleaning process carries on, it remains to be seen how it will impact other apps on the Store.
