Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL launch date revealed
The company will also be launching a few more \"new\" products at the event.
Google will be launching the much-awaited new Pixel devices on October 15, in a launch event in New York. Press invites that were sent by the company today confirmed the date. The event will also feature “a few new things” also made by Google.
Most of the Pixel 4 is, however, already leaked countless times over the past few weeks. If the rumours are true, the Pixel 4 will have a 5.8-inch AMOLED display while the Pixel 4 Xl will have a 6.3-inch AMOLED display. At least one of the devices will feature a 90 Hz refresh rate option.
The battery capacity on the Pixel 4 will be 2,800mAh while that on the Pixel 4 XL will be 3,700mAh. Both the phones will likely have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The cameras on the Pixel 4 series will be 12MP Sony IMX363 sensors with a secondary Sony 481 16MP telephoto lens.
The phones will also be the first in the Pixel series to rely heavily on 3D facial recognition. The phones will also feature the new Project Soli sensor that will allow the phone to be operated without touching the screen.
