Bixby can now interact with various apps on the Android operating system. These apps include Google Maps, Google Play Music, and much more.

Bixby has been a highlight of both the flagship Galaxy S8 and Note 8 models. Samsung has packed in a ton features to make Bixby the ‘go-to’ virtual assistant for every possible activity — whether it be searching on the Internet, swiping pages or take photos without touching the screen. However, it is also regarded as a bloatware by some, which is why Samsung has now made it possible to disable Bixby on supported handsets.

Galaxy S8 users and Note 8 users can now disable the Bixby button and the Bixby voice from the home screen in the latest update for Bixby. Under Bixby settings, there are options to disable the Bixby button to prevent accidental Bixby launches. Sammobile in one of its report has shown the latest Bixby update flaunting the toggle option right on top of the home screen.

If you are annoyed to accidentally launch Bixby through the button while taking it out of the pocket or changing volume, all you need to do is simply disable it by tapping on the toggle. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t provided an option yet to remap the Bixby key to some other apps or activity. If you aren’t seeing this toggle yet, you will need to update Bixby services from the Samsung Galaxy Apps.

However, Bixby will still be accessible by summoning through Bixby Voice and also by long-pressing the Bixby key.
