Drawing a Yay-Nay kind of reaction from its users, Instagram is starting to include comments in its stories. The social media platform revealed the new feature, "Comments in Stories," a few days ago during the Creator Lab launch in India.

A post from the official account of Instagram has verified the feature.
The post read, "You can now leave comments on friends’ Stories to show them some love."
The new feature makes it possible for users to leave comments on other people's stories that are visible to other users as well.
However, there are two limitations of this feature. One of the limitations is that the comments will be only visible to people who follow the person who posts the stories. Also, comments on the user's stories can only be made by those they follow back. The inclusion of these limitations is an attempt to stop trolling.
Stories can have comments on them for 24 hours after they are posted. The comments will stay in place if the story is saved on the profile as a highlight. Users on Instagram have the option to turn off comments for individual stories.
Emily Norfolk, the Instagram spokesperson told a technology website, The Verge, that users would be able to enable or disable comments for any Story they upload.
With the recent release of a new feature, Instagram users may now add text to their photographs from within the post editor, doing away with the requirement for an additional photo editing app. For Reels and Stories, Instagram has also released new text fonts, effects, and animations.
The meta-owned platform has unveiled the new feature that users can now add a song to their profile. Based on the screenshots made public by Instagram, the selected songs will be displayed in the user's profile under the bio section. The song can be changed or removed at any time by the user.
