Apple will be holding “Its Glowtime” event on September 9, 2024 and the iPhone 16 series will be launched at the event but many people do remember the iconic launch event of the first iPhone in 2007 whenever they hear about any Apple launch event.
On January 9, 2007, Co-founder of Apple Steve Jobs, one of the icons in the world of technology, launched the first iPhone. People who watched the event do remember his words and how he introduced the iPhone to the world.
Every once in a while a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything, Steve Jobs tells the crowd.
“Today we’re introducing three revolutionary products. The first one is a widescreen iPod with touch controls, the second is a revolutionary mobile phone and the third is a breakthrough Internet communications device,” says Steve Jobs
He further goes on to say these are not three separated devices, this is one device and we are calling it ‘iPhone’.
The New York Times called it “Innovative Cellphone” and Times Magazine named the iPhone as “the invention of the year.”

After the launch, Apple’s shares traded higher, while shares of other mobile phone makers slumped.
It has been more than 17 years since the launch of the first iPhone and now we have arrived at the iPhone 16, set to be launched next month.
