Washington: A pro-ISIS hacking group, United Cyber Caliphate, has released a ‘kill list’ with names of Americans they want to see killed by lone wolf gunmen.

The group released a video message threatening attacks on President Donald Trump and the US, as well as well-known politicians, celebrities, religious leaders and Muslims who have spoken out against the terror group in the UK, US, Canada and Afghanistan, the Express reported.

The group has threatened to release the names, addresses and email addresses of 8,786 people it wants “wiped off the face of the earth,” the report said.

“We have a message to the people of the US and most importantly your President Trump,” the group says in the video. “Know that we continue to  wage war against you. Know that your counter attacks only make us stronger. The United Cyber Caliphate will start a new step in this war against you. So expect us soon.”

A former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan had earlier warned that ‘kill lists’ were issued in the hope of inspiring lone gunmen to carry out attacks. There is often very little authorities can do to protect those named.

Last year, the group had named 43 Americans with ties to government in the State Department, Department of Homeland Security and departments of defense, energy, and commerce.
