‘Anjali being controlled’

Hyderabad: Last year after the success of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu it looked like the Telugu film industry had found a good actress in Anjali. But surprisingly, the actress didn’t cash in on the success, and ended up working in very few films.

The actress is getting lot of offers, but a big producer from the Telugu film industry is taking decisions for her. “Recently a top director approached her for a role in a film that was released recently, but then the actress told him to contact the producer first. The director then dropped her and chose a different actress,” says our source.

There have been several other instances where she lost really good films. After her initial success she acted in only Balupu and was later seen in Masala. Some directors who are approaching the ‘producer’ for Anjali’s dates, says that she will do only female-oriented films.
