Rom-Com for Isha Talwar
Actress eyes Bollywood after being flooded with film offers from down South
Hyderabad: After making her debut in Telugu with Gunde Jaari Gallanthayinde, Isha Talwar is now doing Maine Pyar Kiya, a romantic comedy. She is playing the female lead in this film opposite Vikram, who is also making his debut.
“This is a special film for me and close to my heart. This is more like a debut film,” says Isha. Talking about the film, she says, “The film shows how love and emotions were 15 years back and how they are at present, how love evolves over the years and the way the youth has become more frivolous.”
Born in Delhi and raised in Mumbai, Isha made her debut with a Malayalam film. “I acted in a few commercials, got noticed and got my break in films,” she says. After the Malayalam film, she was cast in a Telugu film. The actress has taken a deliberate break, because she doesn’t want to play second fiddle. “I got many offers, but most of them are for secondary roles. I’ll wait for a better role,” she says. Talking about her Telugu debut where Isha played second lead, she says, “Actually the role was strong on paper but unfortunately it was made differently.”
“I never thought that I would act in a Malayalam or a Telugu film. It’s all destiny, I never plan on my own. Life has its own way of getting things done and you have to stick to that,” says Isha. She is going to announce her next Telugu film soon and also has a couple of Malayalam films in hand. Now, Isha is also looking at Hindi films. Isha’s father worked in the Hindi film industry with Boney Kapoor as an executive producer.
