Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is gearing up to unveil the first look of ‘Mary Kom’, arranged a special screening of biopic for Shah Rukh Khan. The duo has collaborated in the past for ‘Devdas’ and Bhansali wanted his feedback on the film slated to release in September.

According to a report in Mid-day, Bhansali recently showed the film to Shah Rukh and after the film, they both had a chat for more than 2 hours. Bhansali wanted feedback from his close friends in the industry and that why he invited him.

A source was quoted saying, “ Bhansali is busy with the pre-production of Bajirao Mastani, and has finished working on Mary Kom whereas Shah Rukh has been busy shooting for Farah Khan’s film, 'Happy New Year'. As a result the dates weren’t working out.” According to the report, a source close to the filmmaker denied the story.

On 12th July, SLB’s ‘Devdas’, starring Shah Rukh, Aishwariya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff completed 12 years of release.

Mary Kom will mark the debut of Omung Kumar as a director, who in the past has designed some wonderful sets in SLB’s movies.
