Deepika-Varun roped in for the Hindi remake of' The Fault in Our Stars'

The film will be directed by Homi Adajania

Mumbai: For the official hindi remake of ' The Fault in the Stars', Fox Star Studios, Dinesh Vijan and Homi Adajania had team up again after the success of 'Finding Fanny'. The American romantic comedy drama starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, and Nat Wolff, with Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, and Willem Dafoe playing supporting roles, was a huge success worldwide. 

Homi Adajania, who has collaborated again with Dinesh Vijan ( Maddock films) and Fox Star Studios will direct the film, that will go on floors in 2016. The leading lady of the film has been locked and Homi has once gone ahead with Deepika Padukone, after working with her in 'Cocktail' and 'Finding Fanny'. Deepika has given one of her career's best performance in 'Cocktail' and her role in 'Finding Fanny' took her into a different league.

DC has reliably learnt that Deepika is very excited to work with Homi once again. The two get along very well with each other and share a great rapport. Deepika is committed to multiple films till the mid 2015 and this one will only go on floors in 2016. Homi has to write a fresh screenplay for the Hindi adaptation and will begin work on it soon.

As for the male actor, Varun Dhawan has been finalized for the role. In this love story, Deepika and Varun have been paired together for the first time ever.
