A super hit selfie indeed
Oru Vadakkan Selfie team celebrated its 100-day run in theatres in a gala manner
Their eyes were filled with happiness and contentment, as they all stood together to declare the success of their film, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, the first super hit of 2015. As they all showered each other with praise and gratitude, their team spirit — the success mantra of their film —echoed around them. The spirit they have been carrying in their hearts from their debut film, Malarvadi Arts Club.
Oru Vadakkan Selfie was like a reunion for the team Malarvadi, from the scriptwriter Vineeth Sreenivasan to the producer Vinod Shornur.
Sharing the ecstasy of OVS completing its 100th day, actor Nivin Pauly, the second generation superstar said that it is a very happy moment for his family — the team.
“This was our family project and our togetherness has reaped in the success. I am thankful to all the members for giving me one more beautiful film in my career.”
For Vineeth Sreenivasan, of all the most favourite 25 people in his life, 10 were gathered there to celebrate the success of OSV. “I am lucky to have a lot of open-hearted and broad-minded amazing people around me. No one in our team has ever said that they will only do the work that is assigned to them. They all believe in growing together than growing as individuals. Even after years, we youngsters still cherish the films that were made in the 80’s and 90’s and I hope, even we will be able to create some astonishing films like that for the next generation who will also enjoy it even after 30 years, like we do.”
Debutant director Prajith said that he was really anxious about the project when they initially decided to do OVS. “But eventually, I realised that one can do wonders if one has a gang of like-minded people with him! Anyone can make magnificent films with such an energetic and dedicated team!”
Producer Vinod expressed his gratitude to Vineeth Sreenivasan for giving him the biggest break in his life. “I have no words to tell him, how much his decisions have transformed the lives of people like Prajith and me.”
Aju Varghese, Manjima Mohan, Neeraj Madhav, music composer Shaan Rahman and editor Ranjan Pramod too shared their excitement about the film becoming a hit.
