124 TSWREIS meritorious students feted

 Hyderabad: In a celebration of academic excellence, Dr E. Naveen Nicolas, secretary of Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) felicitated 124 meritorious students on Tuesday.

The students, who successfully completed their intermediate education in the 2021-2022 academic year, were recognised for their outstanding achievements across various domains. The bright minds secured admissions into prestigious institutions, including IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), and GFTIs (Government-Funded Technical Institutes).

Apart from this, 50 students, who gained admission to the esteemed Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), were awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each, 160 students who secured MBBS seats were awarded Rs 50,000, while 74 students who secured admissions into NITs, IITs and GFTIs were given a cash prize of Rs 40,000 each, serving as a gesture of encouragement for their future endeavours.

Rahul Bojja, director of TSWREIS, congratulated the students and the heads of academic institutions and parents for their pivotal roles in the students’ success. The students also thanked the Telangana government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the support and encouragement, a statement by the TSWREIS said.
