Minister Seethakka's Intervention Secures Exam Opportunity for Polytechnic Students
HYDERABAD: Minister Danasari Anasuya, aka Dr Seethakka, intervened to address the crisis of Government Polytechnic College students in Masab Tank. The college had initially declared that students with less than 65 per cent attendance would be barred from appearing in the semester exams scheduled to commence on Monday and had withheld their hall tickets.
A group of dejected students took their concerns to the Praja Darbar held at the Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan (formerly Pragathi Bhavan) on Friday morning. Minister Seethakka, on hearing of their plight, engaged with college authorities over the phone to deliberate on the matter. Following her intervention, the college management relaxed its rule and said students with over 50 per cent attendance would be allowed to sit for the exams.
This decision brings relief to approximately 1,250 students who were at risk of missing their exams due to the attendance criteria. Grateful for the minister's timely and effective intervention, students expressed their thanks, acknowledging the positive outcome of her swift actions.
