Delegation from Turkmenistan Visits Osmania University for Fruitful Discussions

HYDERABAD: A delegation from the Embassy of Turkmenistan embarked on a goodwill visit to Osmania University on Tuesday. The Turkmenistan team, led by Shahmuhammet Muhammedov, first secretary/consul (deputy chief of mission), and Meylis Bashimov, head of the chancery, engaged in fruitful discussions with the representatives of the University.

The OU team, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder, included registrar Prof. P. Laxminarayana, VC’s officer on special duty Prof. B. Reddiya Naik and director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) Prof. L. Siva Rama Krishna.

Prof Ravinder conveyed the university's commitment to providing excellent facilities for international students, while Prof. Krishna highlighted that 17 students had joined OU for undergraduate and two for postgraduate courses from Turkmenistan. In all, 50 students from the country are pursuing various courses.

The meeting delved into academic issues concerning Turkmenistan students, fostering a deeper understanding between the embassy delegation and the university administration. Prof. Krishna delivered a presentation on the diverse activities at the Office of International Affairs, according to a statement.

The day concluded with an interactive session, bringing together students from Turkmenistan, Embassy members, and Osmania University administration.
