Search committee formed to select Krishna University Vice-Chancellor

VIJAYAWADA: AP government has constituted a search committee for choosing three names, one of whom will be appointed as the vice chancellor of Krishna University.

Principal secretary (Higher Education) J. Syamala Rao issued G.O. Rt. No. 34 in this regard on Friday.

The committee will be headed by the former vice chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University Prof Kolakaluri Enoch, who is the state government’s nominee.

Prof. K. Nirupa Rani, former VC of Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram, is the nominee of the executive council. South Bihar Central University's former vice-chancellor Prof. H.C.S. Rathore is the nominee of the University Grants Commission on the search committee.

As per the G.O., the search committee must convene its meeting at the earliest and submit a panel of three names to the state government. After examining the three names suggested by the search committee, the government will appoint one of them as vice chancellor of Krishna University.
