KIA sponsors library block for degree college in Penukonda
ANANTAPUR: Kia India has sponsored a Kia Library Block for Government Degree College in Penukonda town of Satya Sai district. The library is expected to become a learning hub for students of 83 villages in Penukonda, Roddam, Somandepalli and Kothacheruvu mandals.
Inaugurating the library block on Friday, Kia India’s chief administrative officer Kabdong Lee said the library is a testament to their dedication towards enhancing their neighbourhood with a range of initiatives and programmes.
“We will continue our CSR activities and extend further help to society in every possible way,” Lee underlined.
He listed Kia India’s CSR initiatives as consumables for Super Speciality Cath Lab in Anantapur, a plantation drive at Subbarayunipalli, medical equipment and daycare shelter at Guttur Primary Health Centre (PHC) and a contribution of ₹5 crore to AP State Disaster Management Authority during the Coronavirus pandemic.
College principal Dr. N. Ramesh Reddy said the inauguration of Kia Library Block is a significant occasion for the Government Degree College, as it will promote greater learning in the vicinity. “We are excited to have this cutting-edge building with infrastructure for our students to grow and learn,” he stated.
KIA team from its Penukonda unit, apart from lecturers and students of the degree college were present on the occasion.
