OU, ICAI MoU to create curricula in accounting and commerce

HYDERABAD: Osmania University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to assist in the creation of curricula and measuring them against global standards in commerce and accounting.

The MoU is also meant to implement faculty development programmes to improve and modernise the skill sets of instructors and to help close the gap between theory and practice as well as promote research in accounting and commerce.   It will also assist students in finding internships with businesses and professionals.

OU Vice Chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder praised the effort of the commerce department which initiated the move.
