Hyderabad: In a proud moment for the city, Amit Mishra, a management researcher at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Hyderabad, has been awarded the prestigious fellowship by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in London for his ‘significant contributions to management literature’, particularly in the areas of motivation and leadership. Incidentally, Mishra, a native of Jamshedpur, is also the first from Tatanagar to receive the coveted fellowship.

After a master’s degree at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Hyderabad, he completed MBA from IMT Ghaziabad.

Mishra was associated with Tata Industries Limited and the Indian School of Business before he joined IMT Hyderabad as a researcher.

His work has been widely recognised with the most recent one being the envious Dr. Ram Tarneja award in Indian management that he received for management research in February.

Reflecting on his achievements, Mishra told Deccan Chronicle, “This recognition from the Royal Society of Arts is not just a personal honour but a tribute to my country."
