Hyderabad: The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) 2024 results were announced on Saturday by Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Burra Venkatesham, and the Chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), R. Limbadri, at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. This crucial examination determines admission into various professional courses offered by universities and private colleges in Telangana for the academic year 2024-2025.

In the Engineering stream, the top ten rankers include Sattivada Jyotiraditya from Palakonda, Andhra Pradesh, Gollaleka Harsha from Panchalinga, Kurnool; Rishi Shekar Shukla from Trimulgherry, Hyderabad, Kovalapalli Sandesh from Khanamet, Hyderabad; Sai Yashwant Reddy from Kurnool; Putti Kushal Kumar; Hundekar Vidith; Rohan Sai Pabba; Kontham Mani Teja; and Dhanukonda Srinidhi.

In the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, the top ten rankers are A. Pranitha from Madanapally, Andhra Pradesh; Nara Dasari Radha Krishna from Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh; Gaddam Sri Varshini from Hanmakonda, Telangana; Sompally Saketh Raghav from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh; Repala Sai Vivek from Asif Nagar, Hyderabad; Mohammad Azhaan Saad; Vadlapudi Mukhesh Chowdary; Jenni Bhargav Sumanth; Jayashetty Aditya; and Poola Divya Teja.

This year’s TS EAPCET was conducted by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE from May 7 to May 11, 2024. The computer-based test attracted more than 2.5 lakh applicants for the engineering programmes and over 1 lakh for the agriculture and pharmacy programmes combined.

A total of 355,182 candidates registered for the exam, with an attendance percentage of 94.45% for the Engineering stream and 91.24% for the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams.

The overall pass percentage for the Engineering stream is 74.93%, with 1.57 lakh of the 1.95 lakh candidates securing qualifying marks. The pass percentages for male and female candidates are 74.38% and 75.85%, respectively. For the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, the overall pass percentage is 86%, with male candidates achieving an 88.25% pass rate and female candidates achieving 90.18%.

The results were released on the official TSCHE website, eapcet.tsche.ac.in, along with counselling dates for admission. The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS EAPCET-2024 is 25% of the maximum marks for consideration for ranking, though no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed for SC/ST candidates. The rank obtained in TS EAPCET-2024 is valid only for the academic year 2024-25, TSCHE said.

The provisional answer keys for the Agriculture and Engineering courses were released on May 11 and May 12, respectively, with objection windows closing on May 13 and May 14, 2024. This year, a total of 355,182 candidates registered for the TS EAPCET exam.
