Exclusive: Taapsee Pannu's loss is Kriti Kharbanda's gain

Actress Tapsee Pannu, who has been having a golden run at the box office, was reportedly the first choice for Ratna Sinha’s debut project Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana. Turns out the film will now feature Kriti Kharbanda. A source close to the film reveals, “Yes, Tapsee was the first choice for this rom-com. She went through the script, but she was not on board. She never signed the film. Later, the makers approached Kriti who loved the script and has now started shooting for it.”

The major chunk of the film is being shot in Allahabad. Rajkummar Rao plays a boy from Kannauj, while Kriti plays a girl from Kanpur. The story revolves around the leads, who meet while studying in Allahabad and then start working in Lucknow.
