While there is no official confirmation from Shah Rukh Khan, on him starring in the Rakesh Sharma biopic, rumours are flying high and fast that he’s on a 100-day plan to prepare for the film. SRK is reportedly replacing Aamir Khan, who has an epic plan to make Mahabharata into a trilogy. That’s akin to Allu Arvind’s plan to make Ramayana into a trilogy.

“Salute is not an easy film to do,” says a source. “Being in space means understanding how zero gravity works. SRK has been to NASA to prepare for Swades earlier, and he understands a bit of what happens. Having said that, he will need to get accustomed to that kind of atmosphere, to enable him to adjust his body and shoot the scenes with ease.”

SRK’s space plan preparations will need to include everything from a special diet plant to toning his body, in order to play Rakesh, India’s only man in space so far. The film is being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor and directed by Mahesh Mathai.
